Poem / Lyric: Shattered Night (June 2023)

Deep in despair, surrounded by shadows,

A weight upon my heart, can't seem to rebound.

Each step I take, the weight grows heavy and deep,

In this endless darkness, I'm trapped, unaware.

Lost in the labyrinth of my mind,

Searching for/seeking solace, a way to unwind.

The weight I carry pulls me under,

A ceaseless struggle, torn asunder.

In this bleak existence, where pain resides,

I'm drowning in sorrow, where hope subsides.

With shattered dreams and a heart that's numb,

I'm bound to this darkness, where I'm undone.

Whispers of despair echo through my soul,

Tangled thoughts and emotions taking their toll.

But within this chaos, seeds of resilience bloom,

I'll gather the shattered pieces, break free from this gloom.

In this twisted symphony, I've lost my way,

A symphony of anguish, where despair holds sway.

No hand to hold, no rescue in sight,

I'm consumed by the darkness, engulfed by the night.

In this shattered world, where shadows creep,

I'm chasing fragments of a forgotten sleep.

With shattered dreams and a heart that's numb,

I'm bound to this darkness, where I'm undone.
